THE FLORIDA VENTURE FORUM AND THE FLORIDA VENTURE EDUCATION FOUNDATION PRESENTS THE 2019 STATEWIDE COLLEGIATE START-UP COMPETITION!
On May 9-10, 2019, the Florida Venture Forum and the Florida Venture Education Foundation, will host its 9th Annual Statewide Collegiate Start-up Competition to coincide with the 12th Annual Florida Early Stage Capital Conference at Omni ChampionsGate in Orlando. Previous winners have secured over $18 Million in funding!
The Florida Venture Forum is now calling on universities throughout the state of Florida to bring their selected candidate to compete before a panel of judges and be this year’s winner! Upon competitor selection notification by each participating university there will also be an Executive Summary form provided to be filled out which will be included in the Conference App and available to all attendees.
Participating universities will be asked to submit their chosen competitor’s six minute PowerPoint Presentation to the Florida Venture Forum before the final cutoff date of May 3, 2019. Students will be presenting on May 9th and May 10th in front of a panel of judges who will determine the winners! (Winner placement and 1st Runner up.) Qualified companies that align with Space Florida’s Industry sectors will also qualify for the Start-up Space Florida Acceleration Award. Participating universities will be asked to make a small donation to help defray the cost of hosting this event. See below for details.
The entry fee for each university is $1,500. This fee includes the following:
- Logo promotion on all business plan marketing materials
- Attendance for up to six attendees, inclusive of the Early Stage Capital Conference
- Exhibit Table in the exhibition area
- Free admission for each university’s competitor to attend the May 9, 2019 Workshop
- Opportunity for each competitor to pitch in front of investors
