Tell us about your company or firm.

What is one “must do” (or must not do!) piece of advice you have for founders growing a startup?
More startups will die from indigestion than starvation. Early on it’s critical to focus & excel on a small number of value propositions rather than spreading yourself too thin.
What excites you most about Florida’s future as a place to invest and/or grow a startup?
Florida currently has many of the same characteristics that New York had before it catapulted into the top ranks of entrepreneurship — high density of capital center of innovation for enormous industry verticals (healthcare & fintech) and a tax friendly environment.
What are you currently reading or listening to?
From a professional side, I love venture / investing podcasts like “Invest Like the Best with Patrick O’Shaughnessy”. We’ve actually recently launched our own podcast called “RRE POV”, which focuses on venture investing, new technology spaces, & tips for startups. I’d encourage you to take a listen. Personally, I’m a huge fan of house music, so currently listening to some new material from deadmau5 🙂
Who or what is your greatest source of inspiration?
My dad, who came to NYC from India with $12 in his pocket and no job // friends // family. He just made it happen — a little bit of luck & lot of grind. Ask me about his story if we ever meet.
