35 Mules is the first in-house innovation hub backed by a global energy leader, NextEra Energy. 35 Mules is a 15-month, founder-based program agnostic to company stage and industry, helping to grow and scale the next generation of game-changing startup companies.
Startups in the program receive access to tailored programming which includes entrepreneurial and leadership coaching, grant workshops, and pitch and storytelling trainings. The companies also learn from Fortune 500 subject matter experts in our rent-free workspace in Juno Beach, FL.
What is one “must do” (or must not do!) piece of advice you have for founders growing a startup?
Invest time in building meaningful, long-term partnerships, not just short-term customers. This ensures that your business is sustainable and that customers want to buy your product and work with you long-term.
What excites you most about Florida’s future as a place to invest and/or grow a startup?
Florida continues to enjoy its longstanding reputation as a top environment for business, and for good reason. I am starting to see the startup founders, service providers, accelerators/incubators and venture capital firms working more closely together to showcase the value that investing in the entrepreneurial ecosystem has for the state.
This is evident in leaders scheduling events around each other, applying for grants together and leaders in all areas communicating regularly about gaps and visions for the future.
